As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Michelle Materre Collection, we unveiled a new exhibit in the BFCA Phyllis Klotman Classroom, Rising from the Dust: The Legacy of Michelle Materre.

The exhibit celebrates the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, Inc. (BFHFI), an organization founded in Oakland, California in 1974 to honor Black filmmakers, actors, and myriad other performers.
