This year’s annual WTIU Conference on Aging took place on Saturday mornings from October 3rd to November 21. Because of travel restrictions, the conference was a virtual event, which allowed people around the country to participate. The conference sessions were recorded on Zoom and are posted on the WTIU website. The website includes the PowerPoint slides and handouts for each session.
Barbara Truesdell, the assistant director of the Center for Documentary Research and Practice (CDRP), presented in this last session with Christine Friesel, a librarian from the Monroe County Public Library (MCPL). Ms. Friesel, who manages the Indiana Room in the MCPL, presented on how to start a genealogy project. Dr. Truesdell presented on the steps for undertaking oral history interviews or group storytelling sessions with family members.
